| Job Description |

Responsibilities:
1. Identify and manage writing style and form to support AOL US products.
2. Enforce AOL style and brand voice guidelines for Help (customer support).
3. Identify and correct spelling, punctuation, grammatical and semantic inconsistencies.
4. Measure and improve content effectiveness and usability.
5. Train, coach and mentor writers.
6. Benchmark in-house style guides, content development practices, and quality metrics with industry and competition.
7. Recommend and implement content layout and presentation formats to delight consumers of AOL Help. |

| Candidate Profile |
:: |
1. Attention to detail: Identify discrepancies, and suggest corrections and improvements in American English spelling, punctuation, grammar, syntax, word usage, and style for AOL?s audiences.
2. Communication: Articulate ideas, concepts, and opinions, collaborate with virtual teams, and influence editorial decisions.
3. Research: Verify facts from disparate sources.
4. Management: Scope, schedule and record tasks and deliverables. Process and performance driven. Work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Leadership: Conduct peer reviews and group studies to calibrate content quality. Provide feedback and enthuse writers to adapt and improve.
6. Technical: Familiar with Internet services, Web technologies, social media, office productivity, editing and publishing tools.
7. Willing to work odd and flexible hours (1 PM to 10 PM India time).
Desirable:
1. XHTML, CSS, XML, DITA
2. Information design
3. Web, Graphics design
4. Editing for Search Engine Optimization
5. Content QA/QC automation. |
